During laparoscopic surgery, sufficient hemostasis is essential to ensure a clear view of the surgical area. It is fundamental for the surgeon to carefully dissect and identify the vascular structure for primary prevention of bleeding before separating it as needed using various laparoscopic devices. However, when there is actual bleeding, these devices can also be used safely and effectively to stop the bleeding, so that surgery can continue under laparoscopy.

At present, in minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopy, the use of ligation clips for vascular tissue closure is essential. According to the material and purpose, doctors are accustomed to dividing them into metal titanium ligation screws (non absorbable), hem-o-lok polymer plastic ligation clips (non absorbable), and absorbable biological ligation clips (absorbable). Today, let's start by introducing titanium clips.

The titanium clip mainly consists of a titanium alloy clip and a titanium clip tail, which are the main parts that the titanium clip plays. Because its metal part is made of titanium alloy material, it is called a "titanium clip". It has the characteristics of reasonable structure, convenient and reliable use, good clamping performance, and no displacement after clamping. And different companies have different product names to distinguish different clip products, such as Clip, hemostatic clip, harmonious clip, and so on. The main function of the titanium clip tail is to provide arm space for the clamping process during the release of the clip. So, after the titanium clip is clamped, a tail end of varying lengths will be exposed inside the lumen, which is different from the plastic titanium clip used in surgical laparoscopy where the tail end is not exposed after clamping. There are different types of release devices (handles) for titanium clips, including reusable release devices such as Clip, and disposable clips with disposable release devices such as Harmony Clip and Anrui Hemostatic Clip. These release devices not only have the function of releasing, but also have the function of rotating titanium clips to adjust the direction at any time
